A brand-new pantomime is coming to town… and it's going to be royally chilly!

The Mary Stevens Hospice is delighted to announce its brand-new pantomime for February Half Term 2027... THE SNOW QUEEN.

Get ready for a spectacular winter adventure packed with magic, mayhem, music, mischief… and enough snow to make you wish you'd brought a warmer coat!

When Princess Elsie accidentally unleashes her extraordinary icy powers during the Winter Festival, her jealous cousin Frost Bite sees the perfect opportunity to cause trouble and banishes her to the mysterious Ice Palace. But you can't keep a good princess frozen for long! Determined to rescue her sister, Princess Annie sets off on an epic adventure through a magical winter kingdom, joined by a motley crew of unlikely heroes.

Chilly Billy (Will Phipps) is lovable, loyal and about as useful as a chocolate snowman in a sauna, while his mother, Nanny McFrost (Wally Wombat) is the no-nonsense nanny with a heart of gold, a handbag full of surprises and absolutely no intention of putting up with anyone's nonsense.

And Now - THE ROYAL ANNOUNCEMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!

Britain's Got Talent Winner, George Sampson, will be ready to save the day as Prince George of Gornal, Upper & Lower the First!

It's a very grand title. It's also a very long title and we're currently checking whether it will fit on the poster!

George brings his incredible dance talent, energy, and showmanship to the magical world of The Snow Queen, and we can't wait to see him take to the stage in a role that is quite possibly the most important royal appointment Gornal has ever seen.

With spectacular brand-new special effects, dazzling costumes, breathtaking scenery, show-stopping song and dance numbers and enough laughs, surprises, and panto mayhem to warm even the coldest heart, The Snow Queen promises to be an unforgettable family adventure.

And remember… there may be Ice, there WILL be comedy, there WILL be BGT royalty, and somebody is almost certainly going to get covered in snow!

School performances: 9:30am on Wednesday 10, Thursday 11 and Friday 12 February 2027.

Public performances: Friday 12 to Wednesday 17 February 2027.
